New Dominion Flips Learning

New Dominion Middle School teachers are using "Flipped Learning" in their classrooms. Flipped Learning involves the teacher posting the most essential information into a form of media, such as a power point, a SMART interactive whiteboard chart, or an Office Mix screencast. The idea is the brainchild of Mr. Lint, New Dominion's principal. Mr. Lint wanted teachers to find a way to help students review material in a more engaging way. Flipped Learning is also part of New Dominion's Microsoft Class Notebook initiative. Mr. Lint is even using Flipped Learning for all staff meetings. Office Mixes are prepared and shared via email with the staff. Then at a later date, the staff meets to discuss the Office Mix's agenda. This saves time and everyone loves the new format. Go Mr. Lint!
